'Tis the season to learn about winter living at Split Rock Lighthouse and the Christmas traditions of the 1930s. Explore our keeper’s home on a guided tour and help us decorate for Christmas at the lighthouse. Guests will have the opportunity to create a vintage ornament during their guided experience, which they can add to the tree in the keeper’s home or take home to hang on their own tree. Create a new family tradition by visiting Split Rock Lighthouse this holiday season!
Tours are offered every Saturday at 2:30 p.m. beginning November 30, 2024, and daily December 28 – 31.
Limit 10 people per tour.

The Black Beach Inn by GrandStay will beHosting our Annual Holiday Tradeshow Shopping Event on the first Thursday of December, 2024. We currently have 30 vendors signed up and we are anticipating more to sign up before the event. Mark your calendars and visit the Black Beach Inn during the hours of 3 pm to 8 pm on December 5, 2024. Live music by Robin Sunquiet in the Lobby from 4 pm to 7 pm. After meeting so many wonderful kids last year, Santa has made it a point to visit Split Rock Lighthouse again this year! Come meet Santa on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. On both days, children 17 and under are free. Adults can also explore the station grounds for free if they bring a donation to the Silver Bay Veterans Home. See the giving guide below.

Rocky Wall Entertainment is pleased to present Gene LaFond and The Wild Unkown for a FREE Saturday night Happy Holidays concert at the Silver Bay Reunion Hall.
We are excited to launch our first winter Reunion Hall concert to celebrate the holiday season in Silver Bay.
Gene LaFond, who has made his home in Silver Bay since 2014, was a founding member of the band "The Mere Mortals" which, along with the late Larry Kegan, were invited to perform twice at Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit Concert in San Francisco. LaFond has opened for Bob Dylan, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Kinky Friedman, and has performed numerous sold-out concerts in the Midwest over the years with his band The Wild Unknown. Most recently he has been performing along the North Shore with his partner Amy Grillo.
